Born in Manila, Philippines, Al Laus moved with his family to Columbus Ohio when he was 6 years old. Growing up in a multi-lingual, musical household in the heart of the midwest gave Al a global, artistic perspective and easy-going nature that enriched his Ohio upbringing.

As a cinematographer and still photographer, Al has worked with teams all over the world to capture the message and vision of many recognized brands, such as Microsoft, FORTUNE, Victoriaʼs Secret, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Limited Brands, and The Ohio State University Medical Center among many others.

His expertise includes documentaries, commercials, music videos, narrative fiction, and corporate industrials.

Al has a very dry, self-effacing sense of humor, and is not afraid to use it.
